I disagree with you but maybe not in the way you think. Your point is that John's relationship with Jesus and vice versa was an indication that Jesus was gay.

However, the terms homosexual and gay are modern terms. Homosexual was coined by the Germans in the late 1800's and gay was first used in the late 1950's but the Village Voice never used it until the Stonewall Riots. So these are modern terms.

Unfortunately, because of the sola scriptura history and the use of clobber passages, same-sex love is considered sinful. That is not backed up by scripture or tradition. Jesus' relationship with John would be by definition considered normal in his time and should be in our own.

There is nothing indicating that there was sexual expression but this deep love between them is a sign that same-sex love is clearly blessed by God. It is time people stop considering it an aberration.

It is also safe to say that John's fear was diminished by his intense love for Jesus hence why, unlike the others, he did not run.

Therefore, I disagree with your premise only because it does not consider the possibility that Jesus and John demonstrate that this is a part of human existence.
